Ready to start your career?

Our internship and college recruiting programs are a fundamental part of our business strategy.

Today's entry-level engineering candidates are highly motivated, technically skilled, and their recent exposure to new perspectives introduces a new energy to our firm. We recruit from universities around the country for talented individuals who possess an eagerness to learn and who strive for Excellence.

ETM offers a formal comprehensive PE Training Program to Engineers-in-Training (EIT) giving you experience with the entire operation of the company. EIT’s are valued members of our organization and complement the structure of our project teams. You will benefit from hands-on learning by working on challenging and diverse projects as you rotate through three of our company divisions, spending approximately six months in each.

We understand that the investment of proper time, training, and tools not only ensures your success but fosters long-term success for the company. As we shape our new engineers, you are mentored by senior staff who offer support, provide confidential feedback, and introduce you to the culture of the firm. Our Young Professionals Group is one of many tools available and is designed to help young engineers develop leadership skills, gain exposure to ETM’s professional network and provide professional growth opportunities.

Your mentor will rely on you to interact with clients and other professionals, ask a lot of questions, and exhibit sound reasoning and well thought-out solutions. The goal of the PE Training Program is to provide you with the tools to be successful, while building your confidence under the guidance of some of the most respected professionals in their field. Our goal is to help you develop your individual passion and reach your full potential throughout your career at ETM.

In addition, we offer internships, to students still enrolled in their university engineering programs. The internship role is an important and fundamental role at ETM. Interns are assigned to a project team and you work on real projects. You will apply classroom theory to real life situations and receive practical experience working with engineering professionals. An internship with ETM offers you an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and decide if a career in consulting engineering is the right direction for you. Our summer internships last for three months and we often convert top performing interns to full-time hires upon graduation.
