Giving Back where it 'Counts'
Giving back to our local communities is a prominent characteristic of the ETM culture. Our employees understand that being active participants in our communities helps to secure a bright future for generations to come. But our community focus is not limited to the internal monetary support we extend to various community-centered organizations throughout each year. Outside of our offices, our commitment to our communities is evident in the way our employees spend their free time.
This year several ETM employees participated in the annual MATHCOUNTS event held every year during E-week at the University Center on the UNF campus. They have spent much of their free time over the last several months helping to plan the local MATHCOUNTS competition and recently put out a call to fellow colleagues encouraging them to participate on the day of the event. Volunteers will help escort students, grade exams, and facilitate live speed rounds of the competition.
The MATHCOUNTS program and competition promotes 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math achievement and emphasizes the importance of STEM subjects in school. MATHCOUNTS of Northeast Florida facilitates the local competition for all middle schools within Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, and Union counties.
