In 2004, Standard Precast, a Jacksonville based concrete precast company, relocated from a 10-acre facility on the south side of Jacksonville, to a new state of the art 50-acre facility located off Pritchard Road in the Westlake Development of Regional Impact. The new facility includes two batch plants and two fabrication areas with a 16-acre area for future expansion. ETM was responsible for the design of the stormwater system, water/sewer systems as well as a 1,200 foot City of Jacksonville access road to serve the project. ETM oversaw the master planning and design of a regional sanitary pump station and a 7,000 foot force main to serve the surrounding parcels. Stormwater management for this facility was challenging, as the facility is of industrial use requiring significant filtration of suspended solids. In-line sediment structures, a process water recycle facility and additional swale treatment were all utilized in the design to obtain the necessary high level of stormwater treatment.
