The Baptist Medical Campus at Silverleaf

Bringing Critical Care to One of St. Johns County's Fastest-Growing Communities 

Baptist Health needed a comprehensive medical campus capable of expanding access to healthcare in the rapidly growing Silverleaf community and surrounding areas of St. Johns County. The project includes more than 100,000 square feet of medical facilities, including a freestanding emergency department and helipad. 

ETM provided an integrated range of services, Land Development, Survey, GIS, Transportation, and Construction Engineering and Inspection, to support the project from planning and design through permitting and construction. As priorities evolved, ETM adapted the engineering and site design to keep pace with Baptist Health's operational and development needs. 

Solving a Helipad Conflict Without Delaying the Project 

ETM worked closely with Baptist Health, the broader design team, and St. Johns County staff to maintain progress and deliver a high-quality project within an ambitious schedule. The team remained responsive throughout permitting, working diligently with County staff to address challenges and keep the project moving forward. 

A significant design challenge emerged when the team determined that the proposed helipad was too close to an adjacent high-rise apartment community. ETM responded by reworking the site plan to accommodate the helipad's requirements while maintaining the functionality of the overall campus. This collaborative, solutions-focused approach supported permitting, design coordination, and construction, without losing sight of Baptist Health's vision for the facility. 

A $100 Million Investment in the Community's Health and Its Future 

Representing an investment of more than $100 million, the Baptist Medical Campus at Silverleaf will bring critical healthcare services closer to one of St. Johns County's fastest-growing communities. The campus will improve access to emergency and other medical care for Silverleaf residents and families throughout the surrounding area. 

By providing multidisciplinary services across the project lifecycle, ETM helped Baptist Health advance a complex medical campus that will support the health and continued growth of the community for decades to come.
