Castaway Island Preserve is a 311-acre intercoastal interpretive center designed for public access and environmental education. This Jacksonville property conserves salt marshes, upland hardwood forests, wetland flatwood forests, and pine flatwood islands. The preserve features an instructional pavilion, picnic areas, pier, island trail, additional boardwalk trail, and an overlook pavilion. Our firm was thrilled to provide master planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, construction administration, and grant administrative services for this project.
