University of North Florida Traffic Flow Analysis

This study provided engineering analyses of existing and projected traffic conditions within the University of North Florida campus and recommended improvements to UNF’s road network. Our effort considered planned improvements to local roadways and recommended additional improvements to address the anticipated traffic impacts generated by the expected growth at UNF and the surrounding areas. Of specific interest, UNF’s Master Plan indicated significant building additions within the Campus Core area, which would decrease the availability of on-site parking.

As a result, UNF planned to minimize vehicular traffic in this area by introducing traffic-calming measures, sidewalks, multi-use paths, shuttle service to outlying parking areas, and other safety improvements.
