Project Overview
The opening of the new Marina Support Building at Met Park Marina marks another milestone for the Jacksonville Shipyards and the continued redevelopment of Downtown Jacksonville’s riverfront.
The marina is part of the larger Shipyards redevelopment, alongside the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences and One Tower Court. Together, these projects are reshaping a significant stretch of Jacksonville’s Northbank and advancing the vision for a more connected, active Downtown waterfront.
The Expertise Behind Waterfront Development
ETM provided civil engineering for the Marina Support Building and landscape architecture for the adjacent park and event lawn, bringing local knowledge and multidisciplinary expertise to a complex riverfront site.
The approximately 6,000-square-foot Marina Support Building includes a dockmaster office, the Ship Shop retail space and Asado Life restaurant.
ETM’s civil engineering work addressed key site elements, including grading, stormwater management and utility coordination for the waterfront site. Our landscape architecture work focused on the adjacent park and event lawn, helping connect the marina with the Riverwalk and surrounding development.
The work required coordination across the site to support the marina’s operations while integrating new infrastructure and public spaces into Jacksonville’s riverfront.
Local Knowledge for a Changing Downtown
Met Park Marina is one component of the broader redevelopment underway at the Jacksonville Shipyards.
Along with the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences and One Tower Court, the project is helping establish a new mixed-use destination along the St. Johns River and advance the City’s vision for Downtown Jacksonville.
